Orioles Edge Yankees in Dramatic 10-Inning Thriller

Santander's Homer, Mullins' Walk-Off Single Propel Baltimore to Victory

Despite Cole's Solid Debut, Yankees Fall Short in Extras

The Baltimore Orioles held off a late rally from the New York Yankees to secure a thrilling 7-6 victory in 10 innings at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Thursday night.

Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins delivered the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning, driving in automatic runner Ryan McKenna off Yankees reliever Clay Holmes.

Earlier in the game, Yankees starter Gerrit Cole made his season debut and pitched well, allowing just three hits and one run over 4 1/3 innings. However, the Orioles offense came alive in the later innings, taking advantage of some shaky Yankees defense.

Baltimore infielder Anthony Santander provided the early spark for the Orioles, belting a three-run home run in the fifth inning to give his team a 4-1 lead. Santander now has an MLB-best 10 home runs this month.

The Yankees fought back in the eighth inning, tying the game with a pair of RBI singles by Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Hicks. But the Orioles bullpen held strong, with Dillon Tate, Cole Sulser, and Tanner Scott combining to allow just one hit over the final three innings.

The victory extends the Orioles' winning streak to three games and improves their record to 14-27 this season. The Yankees, meanwhile, fall to 23-20 and have now lost three of their last four games.
