Boeing Counting Down To Launch After Weekend Repairs

One Hour to Starliner Astronaut Launch

Boeing counting down to launch after weekend repairs

NASA targeting Wednesday for launch

Boeing is now T-1 hour away and counting toward the launch of its CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is scheduled to lift off from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 41 on Wednesday. The launch, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, was delayed due to an issue with the spacecraft's propulsion system. Teams worked over the weekend to fix the issue, and NASA is now targeting Wednesday for the launch.

The Starliner spacecraft is being developed in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Crew Program. It is designed to carry astronauts to and from the International Space Station. Wednesday's launch will be the spacecraft's first test flight with astronauts on board. If successful, the Starliner will become the second commercial spacecraft to carry astronauts to the ISS, following SpaceX's Crew Dragon.

The launch of the Starliner spacecraft is a significant milestone in NASA's efforts to return human spaceflight to the United States. It is also a major step forward for Boeing, which has been working on the Starliner program for more than a decade. The successful launch of the Starliner spacecraft will pave the way for regular astronaut missions to the ISS using commercial spacecraft.

NASA will provide live coverage of the launch on its website and social media channels. The launch is scheduled for 6:54 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
